Willamette Valley

About Willamette Valley

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.

Willamette Valley Pony Club is located in the beautiful Mid-Willamette Valley of Oregon.  We draw families from the Salem, Monmouth, Silverton, Turner, and Aumsville areas.

Our Unmounted meetings are on the first Monday and third Tuesday of every month and the Mounted meetings occur the second and fourth Mondays of each month. We ride at several local arenas in Turner, Aumsville, and Salem with occasional Spring & Summer trips to the Corvallis/Philomath area for specialized cross country schooling and instruction.

We have an active club with members participating in local, regional, and national certifications.

USPC Pony Clubs and Riding Centers are assigned to one of 41 geographical regions, which are administered by a volunteer Regional Supervisor (RS) and other appointed and elected officers. Regions offer additional activities and opportunities for members and support for the club and center leaders under their administration. Willamette Valley Pony Club is part of the Oregon Region. Visit the region's website for the contact information for the Regional Officers.

Visit the Pony Club website to learn more about the Pony Club educational program, national events, activities and opportunities for members.

The well-rounded horse-person is capable of riding safely and tactfully on the flat, over fences, and in the open.
